B-Roll privacy

Short version: nothing leaves your Mac. Long version: also nothing leaves your Mac, with the details below.

What the app can see

Only the folders you add. You pick them through the standard macOS open panel, and the app keeps a bookmark so it can see them again next time you open it. Remove a folder from the sidebar and the bookmark goes with it.

What it stores

Your folder list, playlists, loop points, image hold times, any preview frames you save for a clip, and a few view settings. All of it lives in the app's own container on your Mac (the usual sandbox location). Thumbnails are generated on the fly and cached in memory.

What it sends

Nothing. The app makes no network connections. There's no account, no analytics, no crash reporting of my own (if you opt in to Apple's, that goes to Apple under their terms, not to me) and no third-party code that talks to anyone.

Your files

They stay where they are. B-Roll reads them to show and play them. It changes anything only when you ask it to - dragging a looped clip out to the Finder creates a trimmed copy where you drop it, renaming a file in the app renames that file, and Delete Folder moves a folder to the Trash (nothing is deleted outright).
